During the spring semester of 2026, we were given an assignment in my GD107 class to create a component system that could be applied to multiple animal icons. For my system, I wanted to see how much detail and variety I could get from only using circles.
It was difficult to determine the best way to create these icons, but I eventually settled on the style pictured below. They are relatively simple, but all work cohesively. Listed below are the colored/final version, black/white, and component versions of each animal icon, along with the component sheet.
